Letter from the Editors, July 2016

Dear Readers,

July has been such a full month! Brent is keeping busy with studies and adventures in Taiwan. Hailey spent the first couple weeks of July traveling, including speaking and facilitating a young adult meet-up at Wild Goose. She also spent this past week helping to host a group of high schoolers from Colorado Springs on a learning and serving visit to San Francisco. We’re excited about the opportunities we’ve both had so far this summer and are looking forward to more adventures in August before we both go back to college!

Despite concerted efforts and outreach this month’s issue is, once again, very small. We’re looking at better ways to connect and engage our readership. This month we’ll be kicking off our instagram account, so if that’s a good way for you to keep track of us, please follow! We’ll also be starting an email list, as several people have stated that that would be a helpful way to receive prompts and updates. Finally, in the next couple weeks we will issue a survey in order to gather some feedback on what is working and what isn’t. While we are committed to Ignited’s mission, we are open to input on how that looks practically. Thanks to our readers who have joined us in this experiment, it’s been challenging, but we’re learning a lot and enjoying the experience!

Big thanks to Rachel Rybicki who shared her art and poetry in this issue! We hope some of you will join us for next month’s discussion about how (or if) we experience “calling”. The August prompt will be posted early next week.

As always, thank you for your support!

Peace of Christ be with you,
Hailey and Brent
